Blinded By Hope
We ambulate the streets absent-mindedly
As if our eyes are only to stare absurdly
But then, there are others, with a special remittance
Who fortunately, cannot discern by countenance
They cannot witness the visual charm of the world
Although, they have learnt to appreciate, while furled
Taking every task eagerly as a challenge
Giving all the perseverance they can manage.
Amongst all the drudgery, an innocent smile is forever manifesting
For they have learnt more than we ever been encountering.
Yet, into depression we go, for the silliest reasons
Giving up hope just after a couple of treasons.
I wipe my tears and put my pen down
Wishing he could see me in this beautiful evening gown.
